Word on the street is that she’s a deadly ninja by nite.

I was born in China and sponsored over to America when I was two years of age. I spent most my life in Northern California. I grew up in Pleasanton, where at the time I was a minority, almost always the only Chinese in class as well as the shortest. High school was spent in a small rural town called Atwater. I received my Associates Degree in Liberal Studies from Merced Community College and then transferred to San Francisco State University. I completed one year there but the cold weather was too much for this Californian girl to bear so the following year I transferred to Sacramento State University. While going to school I also pursued and was certified as a Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist. My best bud, Jackie, introduced me to Ray in August of 2005 and in 2007 Ray and I moved to Hawaii. It had  always been a dream of mine to live in Hawaii and now I know why my soul longs to be there. But it wasn’t all paradise and in 2008 we moved to Austin Texas on a whim. On August 8th, 2008 I married the love of my life, Ray Hernandez. We’ve been going back and forth on whether we should move again or not. If we do I’m picking Portland, Oregon but personally I’m tired of traveling and I think I’m finally ready to start planting down some roots. Luckily I’ve grown to love Austin and I’m pretty sure I could be happy here. Life is always an adventure with us and if you read my blog regularly you’d know.

Want to know more? Of course you do . . .

I’m 100% Chinese, born but not raised which explains why I’m so Americanized, opinionated, and a bit of a feminist. I have 3 sisters and no brothers (my poor father). I’ve started journaling in the 5th grade and I haven’t stopped. I also started working in the 5th grade at our small family restaurant called The Golden Dragon. My favorite color is turquoise. My favorite number is 8. I love animals and that is why I choose not to eat them. I usually know within the first 30 seconds if I’m gonna like you or not. I’m gullible as hell.  I like ninjas, tattoos and money. I wear my emotions on my sleeve which explains why I’m so confrontational. I believe in the power of brutal honesty, constructive criticism, hard work, a can of whoop ass and love. I order my dessert first because I believe in saving the best for first. I enjoy watching documentary & independent films, cooking and learning a new craft. I’m passionate about vintage shopping, photography and recording my life. I think that your intentions don’t mean shit if they’re not backed up by your actions. I believe that every little bit counts and our planet is worth saving. I admire eccentric people. I’m a better person because I have lots of regrets.  There’s not a damn thing I wouldn’t do for the ones I love. I could probably kick your ass.
