My Baby Our Baby launches. It actually launched last month so this post is a little late. Ray’s been working on this project for, well, since we’ve lived in Oakland. After coming up with the designs he was ready to get this site up and running. Along the way he had to deal with flaky programmers that would basically dick him around. Finally, after wasted, antagonizing months, money, and time we just wanted to deal with someone who knew what they were doing, were professional, and affordable. We’ll as you all know, we packed up and moved to Hawaii. Ray quit his job. The lead developer of and our very talented friend, Beau quit shortly thereafter. Somehow Ray convinced Beau to adopt this project. With Ray’s creative talent and Beau’s geeky brain MyBabyOurBaby.com was finally born.
MyBabyOurBaby.com is like an online baby scrap booking site. It’s a place where you can share and show off how cute and adorable your little one is. But it’s different because as you as the parent build a networking site around your baby by inviting everyone that’s involved in your baby’s life to the book either as a contributor or a reader. Let’s face it, at this day and age everyone has a digital camera. If your baby’s around, someone will be taking a photo of your baby sooner or later, locking in a very special memory. Chances are you will never even get to see these photos and they’ll just be stored away in the back of some hard drive or camera disc never to be seen again. MyBabyOurBaby will let you and anyone you allow to upload these photos, write a little story about it, share it with everyone you invite so they can see how your baby is doing, growing and is connected to. Basically the book of your little one will grow even if you don’t have the time to write just as long as someone is writing. Just think, birthdays, holidays, babysitter, etc. There’s memories of your baby out there waiting to be cherished. Also, another cool factor is that the site will upload the photos in chronological order so you can read it in the order that it all happens. It’s super innovative, different, totally easy to use and beneficial.
As you can tell, I’m super proud of my honey. I’ve been there since day one, acting as a right hand man, if you will. I’ve seen his enthusiasm, passion, losses, disappointments, and avid determination he has to see this through. I can’t tell you how proud of him I am. Since it’s launch it’s been written about on several sites and currently has about 300 members. Here are some links.
Also, Ray made the front page of the local paper and with it he brought his niece Sianna.
How cool is that? Congratulations honey. I’m so proud of you.
